Job summary

Maple Leaf Foods in Indianapolis, IN seeks an experienced Maintenance Team Lead to guide a team of maintenance technicians in the Reliability Department. You will oversee preventative maintenance, coordinate repairs, and ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently in a fast-paced facility.

Ideal candidates bring 3–5 years mechanical experience, strong leadership, knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, PLCs, VFDs, and familiarity with SAP or CMMS software.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of mechanical experience in manufacturing; 5+ years preferred.
• Proven leadership skills to manage team dynamics effectively.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems incl. pneumatics, hydraulics, PLCs, VFDs.
• Experience with welding, machining, HVAC, boilers and ammonia systems is a plus.
• Familiarity with OSHA standards and arc flash regulations.
• Proficient in troubleshooting and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support maintenance team during the afternoon shift.
• Coordinate and assign preventative maintenance, repairs, and emergencies.
• Train, mentor, and onboard new maintenance personnel.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and ensure timely resolutions.
• Maintain compliance with HAACP, SQF, and GMP standards.
