Job summary

HES is a premier national facilities management provider serving educational institutions. The Mid-Shift Custodial Manager will supervise custodial staff, coordinate staffing, and ensure campus cleanliness across multiple campuses.

The role requires five years of facilities management experience within institutional or academic settings, plus strong leadership and policydevelopment skills. The position reports to the Regional Director and offers full-time hours with weekend and evening

Qualifications

• Five years facilities management experience in commercial real-estate, institutional or academic setting.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures for general operations, facilities management and personnel.
• Monitor and control operational costs while maintaining high performance standards.
• Knowledge of construction management, architectural design principles, building codes and inspection procedures.
• Lead diverse work groups and build effective relationships at all levels.
• Conduct high-level meetings; strong conflict-resolution and presentation skills.
• Be on-call and respond nights or weekends for emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Manages supervisors and custodians, admin staff and frontline workers.
• Determines staffing levels needed for projects and monitors cleanliness standards.
• Coordinates event setups across campuses.
• Prepares work schedules and biweekly payroll.
• Evaluates staff performance and handles disciplinary actions.
• Assigns shifts and areas, conducts training, and implements new procedures.
• Maintains records, reports, inventory and vendor contacts.
• Oversees relationships with students, faculty, staff, visitors.
