Job summary

XPO is hiring a Forklift Operator to efficiently sort, load and unload freight on a non‑climate‑controlled dock. You’ll operate pallet jacks and forklifts, secure cargo, and use handheld devices to track shipments while following safety policies.

The role requires flexibility for day, evening, night and weekend shifts and offers health insurance from day one. Additional benefits include life and disability insurance, PTO, paid holidays, a 401(k) with company match, and education assistance.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Able to do basic math calculations, with and without a calculator.
• Available to work a variety of shifts due to varying freight volumes, including days, evenings, nights and weekends.
• Dock or warehouse experience in the transportation industry (preferred).
• Forklift experience in a freight or LTL environment (preferred).
• Experience loading and unloading trailers.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight.
• Use appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including pallet jack and forklift.
• Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies.
• Work in a safe, efficient manner, adhering to company safety policies.
• Use mobile handheld devices to scan and track shipments.
• Work on a dock that is not climate-controlled for extended periods.
