Job summary

Ayden Healthcare of Waterville is seeking an afternoon Culinary Services Aide to assist in preparing and serving meals for patients, employees, and events. You will follow the menu plans and residents’ diet orders while accommodating food preferences, under the direction of the Culinary Director.

Responsibilities include maintaining safe food handling practices, timely execution of meal service, washing dishes when needed, and performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school education required.
• Experience in food prep and service preferred.
• Experience in food prep and service within a skilled nursing/term care facility strongly preferred.
• Food handler's permit preferred.
• Superior customer service skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and/or service of meals/food for patients, employees, and events as directed by the Culinary Director.
• Serve food and snacks according to the planned menu and residents' diet orders and preferences.
• Maintain proper food handling/safety techniques and appropriate portion control.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Culinary Director when necessary.
