Job summary

Ayden Healthcare of Oregon is seeking a Culinary Services Aide to assist in the preparation and service of meals for patients, staff, and special events, following the directions of the Culinary Director. You will help serve meals according to planned menus and diets, ensuring food safety and portion control.

The role requires a high school education; prior food prep and service experience is preferred, especially in a skilled nursing setting.

Qualifications

• Requires high school education.
• Experience in food prep and service preferred.
• Experience in food prep and service within a skilled nursing/term care facility strongly preferred.
• Food handler’s permit preferred.
• Superior customer service skills required.

Responsibilities

• Using proper food handling/safety techniques and proper quantity.
• Completed on time as scheduled, and in accordance with the menu/residents’ diet order.
• Wash dishes, etc. when necessary or when instructed by the Culinary Director.
• May perform other duties as assigned by the Culinary Director when necessary.

Position Summary of the Culinary Services Aide:

Assists in the preparation and/ or service of meals/ food for patients, employees, and special events as instructed by the Culinary Director. They serve food and snacks according to the planned menu/spreadsheet and the patient’s/resident's food preferences and diet order.

Responsibilities & Duties of the Culinary Services Aide:

• Using proper food handling/ safety techniques and is of proper quantity

• Completed on time as scheduled, and is in accordance with the menu & residents’ diet order

• Wash dishes, etc. when necessary or when instructed to do so by the Culinary Director.

• May perform other duties as assigned by the Culinary Director when necessary.

Qualifications of the Culinary Services Aide:

• Must possess, as a minimum, high school education

• Experience in food prep and service preferred.

• Experiences in food prep and service within a skilled nursing / term care facility strongly preferred

• Food handler’s permit preferred
