Job summary

Tiny Town Childcare & Learning Center – Kent and Painesville is hiring a dedicated Childcare Staff Member to supervise and engage school-age children after school. You will lead age-appropriate activities, maintain safety, and foster a nurturing environment inside our center.

You will communicate with parents about progress, follow daily routines, and support children across infant/toddler/preschool care. Prior childcare experience and strong communication skills are important; CPR/First Aid

Qualifications

• Previous experience in childcare, daycare, babysitting, or related field.
• Knowledge of infant care, toddler care, preschool curriculum, and caregiving practices.
• Strong classroom management skills to create a structured learning environment.
• Ability to adapt to different age groups and individual needs of children.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with parents and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Engage children in age-appropriate activities to stimulate their physical, emotional, and intellectual growth
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care
• Create a positive and supportive environment for children to thriveMaintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns
• Implement daily routines and schedules to promote consistency and structure
• Monitor and address any behavioral issues using effective behavior management techniques
