Job summary

Tiny Town Childcare & Learning Center - Kent and Painesville is hiring a Younger Toddler Teacher for children 18 months to 2.5 years old. You’ll create a warm, safe classroom, join hands-on activities, and narrate learning moments on the floor and at tables.

The role emphasizes patience, playfulness, and a commitment to consistency in routines, with CDA or related degrees strongly preferred and CDA support offered. Workdays are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Early childhood education background strongly preferred (CDA/degree).
• Experience in childcare or early education preferred.
• Willingness to pursue CDA if not already held.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, predictable classroom where toddlers feel safe to explore.
• Play at their level and support hands-on learning.
• Promote early independence: handwashing, simple choices, peer interactions.
• Guide big feelings with calm, consistent responses.
• Follow state licensing rules, safety procedures, and center policies.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and developmentally appropriate environment.
• Communicate with families and leadership in a positive, professional way.
• Work as part of a team to keep routines smooth and kiddos happy.
