Job summary

Stepping Stones Learning Center is seeking a dependable End-of-Day Closing Teacher to support classrooms in the afternoon and conduct closing duties. You will supervise children, maintain ratios, and ensure a safe, nurturing environment as staff transition.

Responsibilities include taking over for the departing teacher, assisting with routines, and completing closing checklists in line with Michigan licensing requirements. Benefits include uniforms and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Previous child care experience.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Knowledge of Michigan Child Care Licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Take over classroom responsibilities from the departing teacher.
• Maintain proper child-to-staff ratio.
• Actively supervise children at all times.
• Provide a safe, nurturing, and positive environment.
• Assist with snack, toileting/diapering, outdoor play, routines.
• Follow health, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Follow classroom schedules and routines.
• Complete required classroom documentation.
• Comply with center policies and Michigan licensing requirements.
• Perform end-of-day closing tasks and cleaning as assigned.
