Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Engineering Technology.
• 5+ years’ experience with electrical and mechanical power transmission products.
• Proficient in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and field service support of NORD Mechanical and AC motor products.
• Provide post-sale phone support, resolving technical issues and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Provide technical consulting and support for NORD US sales, customers, service partners and subsidiaries.
• Support and assist with technical training for first level aftermarket support.
• Create evaluation reports for local and international service cases.
• Provide consultation to customers on mechanical and electrical products.
• Interact with engineering, quality, and production teams on customer-related issues requiring escalated technical support.
• Coordinate on-site visits and interventions for field technician service calls and service partners, including Authorized Service Partners.
• Travel to customer sites as needed to provide support and technical assistance.
• Create and assigns QN’s for quality and workmanship defects.
• Adhere to NORD safety policies, PPE requirements, and reporting procedures for safety concerns.
• Ability to learn and utilize diagnostic equipment and evaluation methods, including vibration analysis, thermal analysis, and oil analysis interpretation.
• Manage assigned International Service Requests (ISRs), ensuring customer and subsidiary needs are met and ISRs are updated weekly.
• Perform additional duties as required.
