Job summary

ZF Group is seeking an Aftermarket Account Manager to manage assigned accounts and regional activities remotely across the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic area. The role focuses on improving customer satisfaction, translating feedback into strategy, and serving as the central conduit for customer-related activities.

The position requires 6+ years in technical/sales roles, a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in technical/sales background preferred in heavy truck industry, automotive market, or aftermarket sales.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Strong Excel skills and proficiency with Outlook and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the request for quotation process for all customer requests.
• Execute sales growth strategies.
• Ensure the organization is responsive to customer needs and communicate these across the organization.
• Strengthen the account team fulfilling internal and external expectations.
• Maintain product development strategies to fulfill customer and market needs.
• Initiate and implement campaigns, projects, and customer events as required.
• Support negotiations with customers, including contracts and promotions.
• Deliver premium service levels across the value chain from development to delivery.

About the Team

The Aftermarket Account Manager – will be responsible for maintaining ZF as a preferred and reliable partner by managing all dimensions for assigned Aftermarket region/accounts. The focus is on continuously improving customer satisfaction and further enhancing the customer/supplier relationship through translation of the voice of the customer into the right customer strategy and serving as the central conduit for all customer related activities.

This is a remote position that will oversee the following territories: New York, Pennsylvania, Massacusetts, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, Maine, Vemront, New Hampshire and Connecticut.

Your Profile as an Aftermarket Account Manager

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• 6+ years of experience in technical/sales background, preferably in the heavy truck industry, automotive market, or Aftermarket sales
• Commercial Vehicle experience is highly preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel Outlook and Teams; Strong Excel skills required.
• Deep commercial understanding of the assigned region and/or customers.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Negotiation/Relationship management skills.
• Ability to travel 50% - 75% of the time.
