Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Northern Indiana Corridor in Monticello, IN seeks an energetic role to support afterschool youth programming, engaging with members and families, planning activities, and guiding groups of K-12 children in a dynamic environment.

You will collaborate with staff, volunteers, interns, donors, and families to create a safe, educationally motivating atmosphere across 35+ sites and multiple programs focused on SEL, college and workforce readiness, and academic enrichment.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School graduate or equivalent; some post-secondary education is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Experience working with youth, including recreation, coaching, training, tutoring, or teaching.
• Knowledge of basic Microsoft Office, web- and non-web based computer applications.
• Must be physically and mentally able to perform essential functions, with sufficient strength and energy to engage in activities with children.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and implement Club curriculum, programs, and activity schedules for groups.
• Sustain dedicated presence on site during all hours of operation.
• Maintain safety and discipline policies consistently and compassionately.
• Establish positive relations with Club parents and families.
• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and planning sessions.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment conducive to youth development.
• Complete required reporting and administrative tasks related to youth development.
