YMCA of Central Florida seeks an after-school supervisor to lead a group of K–5 students, build positive relationships with children and caregivers, and ensure safety during program activities. The role supports YMCA values and collaborates with staff to create a nurturing environment.

The position requires verifying attendance, following policies, participating in staff meetings, and promoting YMCA Best Practices in before/after school programs. Weekend or holiday coverage may be required.

Qualifikationen

• Direct supervision of a group of children in an after-school program.
• Ability to communicate progress to supervisors and collaborate with parents/caregivers.
• Promote a positive, nurturing environment aligned with YMCA values.

Aufgaben

• Take responsibility for leadership and guidance of a group of participants.
• Acquaint children with rules, activities, daily schedule, and program traditions.
• Ensure the safety and welfare of each child.
• Assist with organizing and implementing activity plans for special interest activities.
• Maintain accurate attendance and headcounts and proper sign-in/out procedures.
• Report progress to the supervisor and monitor each child’s needs with respect.
