Job summary

The YMCA of Central Florida is seeking an After School Program Aide to supervise a group of middle school students, promote positive development, and build relationships with youth and families. You will help create a safe, engaging environment and support daily activities within the program.

Applicants should be 18+, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and commit to completing CPR/First Aid/AED and Child Abuse Prevention training within 60 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; one year or more of college preferred.
• Experience working with children in after-school or childcare settings preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.
• CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and Child Abuse Prevention training within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a group of students and maintain safety.
• Communicate program information with school staff.
• Implement activity plans and organize daily schedules.
• Maintain attendance records and sign-in/sign-out procedures.
• Report safety concerns and incidents to supervisor.
• Assist in keeping facilities clean and equipment in good condition.
• Attend staff trainings and participate in events.
• Promote YMCA values in interactions with youth and families.
