Job summary

The YMCA of Central Florida is seeking an After-School Group Supervisor to supervise middle school students in an engaging, safe environment. You will build positive relationships with youth and caregivers while promoting program rules and activities.

The role requires at least a high school diploma or equivalent and CPR/First Aid/AED certification within 60 days of hire. Previous experience with children in after-school settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 18+ years old.
• Prior experience with children in after-school settings preferred.
• Certifications in CPR, First Aid and AED required within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of a group of students in after-school program.
• Promote positive relationships with children and caregivers.
• Communicate program information with school administration as needed.
• Ensure safety and welfare of each child and enforce program rules.
• Assist with activity planning and sign-in/out procedures.
• Maintain attendance records and report progress to supervisor.
• Attend staff meetings and training; uphold YMCA best practices.
