The incumbent will coordinate activity plans, document attendance, and collaborate with staff to deliver a supportive after-school experience aligned with YMCA core values.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with children, preferably in after-school or childcare.
• CPR, First Aid and AED certifications within 30 days of hire.
• Background screening mandatory.
• Commitment to safety and positive youth development.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of a group of students in an after-school setting.
• Foster positive relationships with children and caregivers.
• Ensure safety and well-being of all participants during activities.
• Communicate program information to school staff and supervisor as needed.
• Enforce program rules and daily schedules of activities.
• Maintain attendance and headcount records accurately.
• Assist with sign-in/out procedures and activity planning.
• Participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
• Ensure cleanliness and safety of the facility and equipment.
• Report accidents or concerns per policy and procedures.
