Job summary

The Community Group is seeking an Assistant Group Leader for Community Kids Place in Lawrence, MA. This role supports afterschool and summer programs, helping children with activities and a safe, engaging environment.

Part-time hours 2:00pm-6:00pm during the school year; full-time 7:30am-5:30pm during school and summer vacations. Ideal for students or professionals pursuing classroom or youth development experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 16 years old.
• Creative and fun personality to implement curriculum and activities.
• Evidence of physical examination within one year prior to employment.
• Immunizations against Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR).
• Current infant/child CPR and First Aid Certification.
• CORI, SORI and fingerprint check completed before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide a positive, safe, fun, and memorable experience for children and families.
• Create a safe environment for children to thrive and participate in activities.
• Serve as a positive role model and mentor to students enrolled.
• Keep health, safety and emergency records up to date.
