Job summary

YWCA Central Carolinas is seeking a part-time Student Success Advisor for Mecklenburg County locations in Charlotte, NC. The role supports literacy-based after-school and out-of-school programming for K–5 students, with a 25-hour workweek and afternoon/evening hours.

The position requires at least a high school diploma or GED, two years of youth experience, and strong communication skills. Sacrifices in driving duties and CACFP nutrition tasks are part of the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associates degree in related field preferred.
• Minimum of two years’ experience working with youth.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Implements monthly activity schedules and reading programs.
• Prepares daily activities and leads small group literacy sessions.
• Monitors absences and reports to site coordinator.
• Performs CACFP nutrition duties and documents meal counts.
• Provides transportation support for offsite activities.
• Maintains attendance and sign-in/out records.
