Job summary

YWCA Central Carolinas seeks a part-time Student Success Advisor to support literacy-based after-school and learned programming for K–5 students at several Charlotte locations. Hours typically 2:30pm–6:00pm with some evenings; on-site attendance required and occasional weekend work may occur.

The role emphasizes daily activity planning, reading support, attendance tracking, and coordination with families and school partners. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree preferred in a related field.
• Minimum two years of experience working with youth.
• Valid NC/SC driver license with 3 years driving experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite literacy-based program support for after-school and out-of-school programming.
• Lead small group literacy sessions and targeted interventions.
• Monitor attendance and regularly report absences; coordinate with families and site coordinator.
• Perform CACFP meal/nutrition duties; document meal counts and submit weekly.
• Provide transportation support for offsite activities as needed.
• Ensure safety and compliance with YWCA policies and procedures.
