Job summary

Salina Family YMCA is seeking a Y’s Leader to support School Age Care under the direction of the School Age Director. This part-time, hourly role focuses on delivering quality experiences for children and families aligned with YMCA core values.

Responsibilities include supervising activities, maintaining attendance records, assisting with weekly plans, and ensuring safety and proper documentation. CPR/FA certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old; Lead Leader requires 18+ and a high school diploma or GED.
• CPR/FA certification within 30 days of hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize the needs and safety of children above all.
• Arrive at work on time and at the designated station.
• Plan, supervise, and participate in activities.
• Take daily attendance and ensure sign-in for full days.
• Record group roll calls when location changes.
• Carry children’s files in group bags.
• Assist with weekly activity plans and schedules.
• Administer first aid and document details.
• Discipline participants and complete related paperwork.
• Maintain clean, safe facilities and assist with snacks.
