Job summary

YMCA of Central New Mexico is seeking an After School Program Staff member to supervise children and deliver engaging, value-driven activities. You will support safety protocols, maintain positive relations with families, and collaborate with staff to create a welcoming learning environment.

The role emphasizes adherence to YMCA policies, participation in meetings, and contributing to program quality and community engagement.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school graduate or equivalent; one year or more of college preferred.
• Previous experience working with children in a School Age setting.
• CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and Child Abuse Prevention training within 30 days of hire.
• Experience with diverse populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises a group of children.
• Plans and implements program activities aligned with YMCA values.
• Attends staff meetings and trainings.
• Ensures program standards and safety procedures are followed.
• Greets and maintains positive relationships with parents, children and staff.
• Performs general housekeeping duties and prepares materials.
• Participates in Annual Fundraising.
