Job summary

The Young Womens Christian Association of the City of New York (YWCA NYC) is seeking a Group Leader to engage and supervise students in after-school programs. Responsibilities include providing homework assistance and developing positive relationships with participants and families.

The ideal candidate has effective behavioral management skills and a commitment to social justice, with at least 2 years of relevant experience. The position is part-time, scheduled Monday through Friday, with hourly pay between $20-$24 and various program locations across NYC.

Qualifications

• 2+ years working in after-school programs or other education/youth programs.
• Strong in math, reading, and general academic studies.
• Knowledge of anti-racism and gender equity principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead homework help and support students with tutoring.
• Supervise and ensure safety and welfare of students.
• Communicate with parents regarding student's progress.
