Job summary

BOYS & GIRLS CLUB OF LANIER is seeking a part-time Youth Development Professional in Habersham County to support after-school programming at multiple Elementary Success Academies. The role emphasizes creating a safe, welcoming environment and delivering age-appropriate activities to promote positive youth development.

Responsibilities include planning lessons, supervising youth, and maintaining professional conduct while coordinating with staff, families, and community partners.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; if in an approved Y program, different requirements may apply.
• CPR/First Aid certification is required and provided by the organization.
• Must successfully complete fingerprint background check, drug screening, mandated reporting, onboarding, and BGCA and BGCL training requirements.
• One to twelve months of experience working with children is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment that promotes positive youth development and encourages program participation.
• Plan and lead age-appropriate programs, services, and activities for youth in assigned program areas.
• Provide guidance, encouragement, and positive role modeling for youth individually and in groups.
• Use a warm, respectful, and consistent approach when interacting with youth, staff, families, and partners.
• Complete program lesson plans and rosters accurately and on time.
