Job summary

Ymca-of-Frederick-County is seeking part-time staff to supervise children before/after school and during summer programs at a school site. You will ensure safety, deliver diverse activities, and support families with regular updates and positive engagement.

Applicants should be at least 16, complete orientation within 6 months, and demonstrate a strong work ethic and ethical standards consistent with YMCA values. This role offers a part-time schedule with benefits for eligible employees.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Complete 3-hour orientation within 6 months of hire covering child supervision, professionalism, and parent interaction.
• Demonstrate exceptional work ethic and character.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high quality, safe, nurturing program aligned with MSDE guidelines.
• Supervise children at all times and follow YMCA Code of Conduct.
• Build positive relationships with children and parents; communicate day highlights and address behavior issues.
