Qualifications

• Associate degree or 2 years of college (48 credits) required.
• CPR and First Aid certification must be obtained.
• Experience with children in educational settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Generates tutoring plans detailing goals and enrichment activities.
• Develops academic exercises and activities for individuals and small groups.
• Prepares materials and organizes classroom for instruction.
• Reinforces knowledge and skills taught by the classroom teacher.
• Assists teacher with daily instruction and routines as needed.
• Provides instructional support for students needing tutoring services.
• Uses assessment techniques to guide instruction and track progress.
• Collects data for accountability and program development.
• Completes reports and evaluations with relevant information.
• Communicates and collaborates effectively with teachers.
