Job summary

City of Fairfield, CT's Fairfield Woods Branch Library seeks a part-time Teen Services Assistant to support after-school programs for grades 6-12. You will provide friendly teen patron service, help register participants, assist with crafts and STEM activities, and encourage participation in library programs.

Hours are 2:00-5:00 PM or 2:30-5:00 PM on weekdays during the school year, up to 19.5 hours weekly. The role is non-bargaining unit, with $18.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must enjoy working with grades 6-12.
• Courteous and professional customer service at all times.
• Interest in teen culture and interests.
• Good judgement and discretion when interacting with staff and public.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, enthusiastic teen patron service.
• Assist in operation of the after-school teen program and register participants.
• Help with hands-on crafts and STEM activities and engage participants.
• Encourage participation in library activities and programs.
• Represent Fairfield Public Library positively and professionally.
