Zusammenfassung

The YMCA of Greater Hartford is hiring a Teacher’s Aide in Granby, CT. You will assist the Head Teacher with daily activities, engage with children, and help maintain a supportive, respectful classroom environment.

Ideal candidates will have childcare experience, good oral and written communication, and be able to obtain CT Child Care certification and CPR/First Aid within 90 days. This is a part-time, on-site role supporting after-school programs.

Qualifikationen

• Familiar with working with children and families.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to work effectively in a team.
• Must be at least 16 years old.

Aufgaben

• Assist Head Teacher in planning and delivering daily activities.
• Engage actively with children during play and learning.
• Maintain clean and organized toys and materials after activities.
• Communicate concerns to supervisor promptly.
• Respect confidentiality of families and staff.
• Follow safety policies and report any abuse or safety concerns.
• Attend required training hours per year as required by state law.
• Foster inclusive, anti-racist practices and positive behavior management.
