Job summary

Tacoma Public Schools seeks a part-time after-school supervisor to monitor students during District-sponsored activities, programs, and events to promote appropriate behavior, maintain order, and support student safety.

Responsibilities include intervening as needed, assisting with check-in/check-out, and providing routine communication with program staff and school personnel, in collaboration with the Extended Learning Opportunities (ELO) Department.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent.
• Fingerprints and background checks required.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification required, or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor student behavior during activities to ensure safety.
• Intervene to support students and report incidents.
• Assist with student check-in/check-out and supervision.
• Communicate daily operational and supervision matters with staff.
