Job summary

Launch Math LLC is hiring part-time instructors to work with students individually, in small groups, and in afterschool classes in Manhattan and beyond.

You will teach STEM and/or math tutoring sessions, using provided curriculum, with emphasis on engaging, hands-on projects and student confidence-building. The role offers a flexible schedule and part-time hours in a learning-center or home/remote setting.

Qualifications

• Strong desire to teach children.
• Subject matter expertise in related sciences, tech, or math is a plus.
• Ability to code using Scratch, Python, and/or App Lab is a big plus.
• Flexible schedule and commitment for an extended duration.

Responsibilities

• Provide top quality instruction using Launch methods, curriculum and materials.
• Enthusiastically engage students during instructional sessions.
• Help students gain confidence in their ability to learn and succeed.
• Assess and continually improve the classroom experience.
• Maintain regular communications with Launch Program Coordinators.
