Job summary

Launch Learning K-8 Math in Manhattan's Upper West Side is seeking a part-time Afterschool Math Enrichment Instructor to teach in a semi-private setting for K–8 students. The role emphasizes engaging instruction using Launch Learning methods and a small student-to-instructor ratio.

You will monitor progress, foster student confidence, and communicate with the Program Coordinator. Curriculum and materials are provided, with weekday afternoon availability required.

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of math concepts for grades K–8.
• Strong desire to teach children.
• Personable, friendly, reliable and communicative.
• Previous tutoring or related experience.
• Flexible schedule and full academic year commitment.
• Belief that every student can learn math and science.

Responsibilities

• Provide top quality math instruction in a semi-private setting.
• Engage students enthusiastically during instructional sessions.
• Help students gain confidence in their ability to learn and succeed.
• Monitor and assess students' progress.
• Maintain regular communications with Launch Learning K-8 Program Coordinator.
