The position requires an Associate’s degree or NYS credentials and two years with children under 13, including supervisory experience; strong interpersonal and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have an Associate’s degree in child development, elementary education, physical education, recreation or related field with two years’ direct experience with children under 13, including supervisory experience.
• NYS Children’s Program Administrator credential plus two years of direct experience with children under 13, including supervisory experience.
• School Age Child Care Credential or related credential with two years of direct experience and supervisory experience.
• Two years of college with 18 credits relevant to the field plus two years direct experience with children under 13, including supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and implement the daily program schedule and curriculum at a site.
• Maintain a safe environment for all children in the program.
• Maintain records, attendance, fire drills, sign in/out, behavior, and medical logs as required by OCFS.
• Supervise, observe, train, evaluate, and mentor all staff and/or volunteers.
