Job summary

Community Youth Center of San Francisco (CYC) seeks a Program Specialist (Inclusion Support) to provide 1:1 and small group social and emotional support, with behavioral coaching for school-age children in after-school and summer programs. Reports to the Site Coordinator and coordinates with families and school staff.

The role emphasizes individualized care plans, progress documentation, confidentiality, and the creation of a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 48 college units or passing Instructional Aide Exam.
• 2 years of proven experience in youth development or related fields.
• Empathy and understanding of children’s developmental stages; positive behavior management.
• Experience in classroom management and restorative practices is a plus.
• Experience working with diverse youth and families is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and/or small group social and emotional support and behavioral coaching.
• Develop individualized care plans and document student progress.
• Coordinate with school day teachers, counselors, and after school staff.
• Attend SST/IEP/SAP meetings as necessary.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information and share data on progress.
• Establish and maintain a positive, safe learning environment and manage behavior.
• Make contact with parents/caregivers to advise on youth progress.
• Assist with data entry and evaluation data collection.
• Participate in staff meetings and ongoing trainings.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of shared program spaces.
