The YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka is seeking an energetic Early Childhood Educator to join the Lefroy YMCA Before & After School Program in Lefroy, Ontario. You will support children's daily care, play-based learning, and family communication in a licensed childcare setting.

Applicants must have CECE registration or be enrolled in an ECE program, with First Aid/CPR and immunizations up to date; availability Monday to Friday mornings and afternoons, and the ability to lift up to 20 kg and work outdoors

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• First Aid and CPR (Level C) or completion within 90 days.
• Up-to-date immunizations as per local health guidelines.
• Availability Monday to Friday mornings & afternoons, ~30 hours/week.
• Passion for quality play-based learning with children.
• Strong communication with families and staff.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 20 kg.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• CECE registration or enrolled in ECE program or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to children and monitor health needs.
• Engage children with supervision in groups up to 15.
• Plan and implement play-based learning per YMCA curriculum.
• Maintain professional communication with families and staff.
• Support inclusive environments for children with diverse needs.
• Lead centre activities, maintain safe, organized spaces.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and policies.
• Collaborate with staff and families for successful outcomes.
