Job summary

Mills River Elementary in Mills River, North Carolina is seeking a PSAM/PSPM Site Director to oversee the PSAM and PSPM program operations. The role reports to the Director of Child Care and manages reservations, attendance, charges, payments, and CACFP/DSS reporting.

This 12-month, 32-hour-per-week, part-time position offers full benefits. Requires Word/Excel proficiency and a high school diploma with Childcare Credentials (EDU119); CPR and First Aid may be required. Start date 10/19/2026.

Qualifications

• Must be able to use Microsoft Word / Excel proficiently.
• High school diploma or GED and Childcare Credentials (EDU119).
• Must have or be willing to earn Basic School Age Care, Playground Safety, CPR and First Aid Certifications.
• Thorough knowledge of childcare practices and techniques; Thorough skill working with children.
• General knowledge of health, safety, and first aid practices, methods and techniques.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Establish positive relationships with and exchange important information with children, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• The Director will over see all operations of the PSAM and PSPM program.
• Will work closely with the students, group leaders, parents and other school staff.
• Also, is responsible for posting reservations, attendance, charges and payments; reconciliation of monies received and CACFP/DSS reporting.
• Attend monthly Director meetings.
