The City of Peoria is hiring an Assistant/Program Site Lead (AM/PM) for the 2026/2027 school year. The role involves supervising children in before‑and‑after school programs on Peoria Unified School District elementary campuses, engaging them in literacy, arts, crafts, and STEAM activities, and ensuring a safe and enriching environment.

Responsibilities

The AM/PM Program Site Lead will:

• Supervise and monitor program participants.
• Engage children through play and staff‑led enrichment activities.
• Maintain compliance with DHS childcare standards and site‑director responsibilities.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 12 months of relevant experience, including knowledge of Department of Health Services childcare standards.
• Minimum age 21 years.
• CPR/First Aid Certificate.
• Valid Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Valid negative TB test or completed attestation form.

Preferred Qualifications

• Positive attitude and proactive leadership experience.
• Excellent customer‑service skills and a warm, can‑do demeanor.
• Willingness to support the City of Peoria’s mission for safe, enriching student opportunities.
• Ability to qualify as a site director under DHS regulations.

Compensation and Scheduling

Hourly rate: $20.43, with options for moving between AM and PM shifts or both as desired. Schedule includes Monday‑Friday mornings, selective afternoons, or a combination based on flexibility.
