Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Site Director for our After School Program at John D. Perkins Elementary School (Marlow, NH) for the 2026–2027 school year. The role follows the school calendar with an afternoon shift from 2:15 to 5:30 pm, offering employer-paid childcare for eligible staff.

The position is part-time and non-exempt, requiring leadership, organization, and strong communication with families. Competitive benefits and opportunities for growth are included.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED/HiSET/TASC).
• 3 college credits in management or supervision (or 2+ years in a supervisory role or plan to complete 3 credits).
• Minimum 1,500 hours of childcare experience in licensed childcare or school setting.
• An associate's degree or higher with coursework in early childhood education or related field; or 3,000 additional hours of experience with CDA; or current certification in early childhood/elementary/special education; or MACTE credential with 60 college credits; or 60 college credits with 24 related credits and 3 credits in core areas.

Responsibilities

• Ensure staff and program operations meet state regulations, Healthy Kids policies, and host school requirements.
• Plan and lead engaging activities aligned with the Healthy Kids Curriculum (fitness, STEAM, academics, arts, homework support).
• Oversee daily tasks: attendance/registration tracking, scheduling, staffing levels.
• Maintain clear communication with parents/caregivers using Playground App.
• Collaborate with direct supervisor to ensure high-quality care and positive team environment.
