Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools seeks a Before and After School Leader to assist the program director in planning and implementing the child care program in Aurora, Colorado. You will help promote good community relations and support quality programming for before and after care as well as full-day programming.

You will supervise students, ensure safety, coordinate with parents and staff, and contribute to lesson planning and program development under the director's guidance.

Qualifications

• Must have at least three months of verified experience in care and supervision of children.
• Ability to work with children and communicate with parents, staff and district personnel.
• Minimum annual requirement of 15 clock hours of training.
• Knowledge of most aspects of childcare.
• Ability to develop and utilize appropriate discipline procedures.
• Some leadership and management skill.

Responsibilities

• Follows and enforces Colorado Department of Early Childhood licensing requirements daily.
• Supervises and engages with students during program times.
• Maintains safe conditions for students and staff.
• Promotes and markets the program for before/after care and full days.
• Assists with implementation of quality lesson plans.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
