Latin School Of Chicago is seeking energetic, dependable individuals to join our Extended Day program at Latin Lower School in Chicago, IL. As an Extended Day Staff Member, you will help create a safe, welcoming, and engaging after-school environment for students.

You\'ll lead games and activities, supervise in various spaces, and work with a supportive team under the guidance of the Assistant Director of Latin 360°. This part-time role runs afternoons from 2:00 p.m.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with school-age children in school, camp, childcare, recreation, or similar setting is preferred.
• Friendly, dependable, and patient.
• Enjoys being active and engaging with children indoors and outdoors throughout the year.
• Comfortable working as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Lead games, crafts, and other fun, age-appropriate activities.
• Help create a safe, welcoming environment where students can learn and play.
• Supervise students in classrooms, gyms, playgrounds, and during transitions.
• Build positive relationships with students and serve as a caring role model.
• Help set up and clean up activity spaces.

As an Extended Day Staff Member, you'll spend your afternoons leading games and activities, building relationships with students, and helping make the end of the school day a positive experience. You'll work alongside a supportive team and receive guidance from the Assistant Director of Latin 360°.

What You’ll Do:

Physical Requirements

• Able to stand and walk for extended periods. Able to run, climb stairs, bend, and kneel occasionally.

• Visual and auditory ability to observe and respond quickly to critical incidents to ensure student safety.
