Job summary

Educational Alliance in New York is seeking part-time After School Support Specialists for the 14Y After School Program. You will be directly responsible for the well-being of all after-schoolers, including neurodivergent students, and act as a positive role model with empathy and patience.

The role requires attendance at orientation and after-school sessions, collaboration with Group Leaders and the Support Coordinator, adherence to safety standards, and active participation in enrichment

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing education in Social Work, Special Education, or related fields.
• Demonstrated interest and experience with neurodivergent children and related needs.
• Excellent communication and teamwork, with a warm, patient approach.

Responsibilities

• Attend all days of orientation and After-School sessions as scheduled.
• Learn about assigned after-schoolers and help carry out their support plans.
• Support campers in physical and social activities, including transitions.
• Collaborate with Group Leaders and Support Coordinator on daily plans and progress.
• Uphold safety standards and comply with policies and procedures.
