Job summary

The Eugene Family YMCA is seeking a Youth Development Program Leader 2 to support our full-day youth development programs. You will provide childcare, enrichment and physical activities, and coach teamwork and social skills while building positive relationships with children and families.

Hours include Monday–Thursday 2p–6p and Friday 1p–6p, with occasional before-school options. Minimum 18+ years old, 18+ months with school-age youth, and active background registry enrollment required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• At least 18 months of experience serving or working with school-age youth.
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Enrolled in the Oregon Central Background Registry and proof of enrollment.
• Complete online application promptly as processing takes several weeks.
• Must meet Office of Child Care requirements (240 hours of qualifying experience in the last five years).
• Bi-lingual preferred (Spanish, French, Mandarin or Mam).

Responsibilities

• Manage after-school childcare programs for assigned locations and ensure high-quality programs.
• Train, schedule and direct staff and volunteers; evaluate staff performance.
• Maintain program budgets and ensure fees are collected.
• Ensure compliance with state/local regulations and safety procedures.
• Develop positive relationships with families and community partners.
• Lead planning and implementation of culturally relevant activities.
• Maintain records and communicate with families and stakeholders.
• Support program marketing and family conferences.
