Job summary

YMCA of South Kingstown seeks a Part-Time After School Leader in Rhode Island to assist the Site Coordinator with program development and supervision of children. You will help deliver high-quality, academically aligned activities and support children's social-emotional development and safety.

As a member of a collaborative team, you will lead activities, participate in staff meetings, promote inclusion, and assist with special events and meals as required by program guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old and have a high-school diploma or equivalent.
• Certifications required before working with children: Child Abuse Prevention Training, New Employee Orientation, all RI DHS and MA EEC requirements.
• Certifications required within the first 60 days of hire: basic lifesaving skills (Pediatric CPR & First Aid, AED) and Emergency Oxygen.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Site Coordinator to plan and lead age-appropriate activities.
• Supervise children and ensure health and safety at all times.
• Lead and participate in group activities and events.
• Promote inclusion and equity among participants.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings.
• Assist with meal service in line with program requirements.
• Maintain equipment and site appearance.
