Job summary

YMCA of Southwest Florida is seeking staff to supervise and engage participants in the Before/After School Program and Summer Camp, ensuring safety and well-being at all times. You will lead age-appropriate activities, encourage participation, and model positive interaction with children and families.

Responsibilities include maintaining a safe environment, adhering to program guidelines, and documenting attendance and incidents as required by policy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or age 18+ required.
• Background check per Florida/State policies.
• Prior experience with children preferred.
• Ability to adhere to safety policies and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate activities and supervise participants.
• Ensure safety and implement emergency procedures as needed.
• Manage sign-in/out and verify authorized pickups with ID when releasing children.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe childcare environment.
