Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Lead for our Before and After School Program at Penn-Bernville Elementary School for the 2026–2027 school year. This part-time, non-exempt role follows the school calendar with morning and/or afternoon sessions.

The role emphasizes building relationships, supervising groups, and supporting student growth within a mission-driven team. Employer-paid childcare is a featured benefit.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age
• Must pass a full background check including fingerprinting and references
• Must be medically fit to perform job duties including a clear TB
• Warm, friendly, professional, and reliable
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Facilitating hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
• Providing a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Observing state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Certain positions may also perform management functions such as accurate attendance records, registration, and staffing.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education|child development|special education|elementary education or human services

Bachelor’s with 30 credit hours in related fields + 1 year experience

Associate’s degree + 2 years experience

Associate’s degree + 30 credit hours + 3 years experience

Child Development Associate (CDA) + 2 years experience
