Job summary

Woodcraft Rangers is seeking an After-School Program Leader (Floater) to support multiple sites in the Los Angeles area. The role requires adaptability, with shifts varying by location and hours typically from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

You will help create a fun, safe learning environment for about 20 students and collaborate with coordinators to ensure smooth operations. As part of a mission-driven team, you’ll engage youth through structured activities, promote inclusion,

Qualifications

• Experience in TK-12 or after-school programs is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn new systems.
• Willingness to travel between sites as needed.
• Ability to plan and lead age-appropriate activities.
• Commitment to safety procedures and trainings.

Responsibilities

• Foster a safe and supportive environment for students.
• Promote an inclusive, respectful culture for participants and families.
• Plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate activities supporting whole-child development.
• Monitor attendance and participation to ensure consistent engagement.
• Build positive relationships with students, families, and staff.
• Collaborate with staff to plan culminating events and celebrate achievements.
• Request program materials timely to ensure availability and budget adherence.
• Comply with safety procedures, emergency protocols, trainings, and certifications.
• Participate in off-site field trips as needed.
• Maintain daily student attendance records and submit them.
