Job summary

John Lawrence Elementary in Archdale, NC seeks an After School Director to lead the School-Age Care program from 2–6 pm, 4 hours daily, 10 months a year. The role reports to the Principal and supervises the After School Assistant and volunteers.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, 18+, First Aid/CPR certification, a valid NC driver's license, and experience with children, budgets, and parent communication. The position is part-time and non-exempt.

Qualifications

• Verifiable experience working successfully with children.
• Considerable knowledge of organizational and record keeping requirements for operating a childcare program.
• Knowledge of budgeting, inventory, and supplies management.

Responsibilities

• Direct planning of program activities and events.
• Maintain program supplies and equipment for children and office use.
• Ensure adherence to the positive behavior policy by all staff.
• Oversee day-to-day operation of the School-Age Care Program.
• Keep daily attendance and afternoon release records; arrange substitutes when needed.
• Maintain financial records and inventories; supervise ordering of supplies.
