Job summary

Randolph County School System Seagrove Elementary in Seagrove, North Carolina is seeking an After School Director to lead the School-Age Care program, supervise staff and oversee daily activities. You will work directly with children and report to the Principal in a weekday schedule.

The role is part-time, 3 hours daily for 10 months. Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, First Aid/CPR, a NC driver’s license, and willingness to obtain a bus license and substitute as needed.

Responsibilities

• Direct all planning of program activities and events
• Maintain program supplies and equipment
• Ensure positive behavior policy is followed by all staff
• Oversee day-to-day operation of the School-Age Care Program
• Keep daily attendance and afternoon release records
• Arrange substitutes when staff are absent
• Prepare a daily activity schedule for substitutes
• Maintain financial records and inventory control
• Represent the school system in duties related to the program
• Communicate with the principal and parents about program issues
• Supervise daycare assistant and volunteers and provide evaluations
