Job summary

ABC-Care-In seeks a Site Director to oversee daily operations at a Maryland Eldersburg center, ensuring high-quality development and enrichment programs for enrolled children. The role reports to the District Manager and leads on-site staff through orientation, training, and ongoing supervision and evaluation.

The position combines administrative duties with direct supervision of children, ensuring licensing standards are met and program quality is maintained.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• CPR and First Aid class.
• Physical requirements: bend, lift 30 lbs, sit/stand, stairs.
• Driver's license preferred for mobility between centers.
• Willing to take continuing education classes.
• One 3-credit class on child development.
• One 3-credit class on school age level curriculum.
• 400 hours of documented experience with school age children.
• One of: Bachelor in Elementary Education/ECE or AA in Education/Psychology or Bachelor in unrelated field with SAC experience or 9 months SAC + 1 year college.

Responsibilities

• Administrative responsibility and direct supervision of a group of children.
• Maintain licensing requirements.
• Supervise and evaluate support staff.
• Develop relationships with staff, children, families and host school.
• Develop age-appropriate lesson plans to engage children in center activities.
