Job summary

Cherry Creek School District is seeking an assistant for the school-based child care program. The role involves active supervision of students under a qualified leader and promoting positive relations with families and school staff.

You will support daily activities, maintain safety, and help implement program goals. Responsibilities include following procedures, assisting with materials and curriculum, and contributing ideas to enrich the program.

Qualifications

• Assistant must be at least 16 years old.
• Work directly under supervision of the director, assistant director or leader.
• Each year of employment, complete at least 15 clock hours of training.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Ability to work with school‑age children.
• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required for hire.

Responsibilities

• Completes tasks assigned by director, assistant director, or leader.
• Follow procedures as stated in ECS Procedures Manual.
• Participates and plays with students in structured and unstructured activities.
• Maintains safe conditions for students and staff.
• Follows and enforces program discipline policies and procedures.
• Assists with maintenance, storage, and repair of equipment, materials and supplies.
• Contributes ideas for enrichment activities, curriculum, and program quality.
• Demonstrates excellent communication with parents, students, school staff and co workers.
• Follows district policies and uses district facilities with care.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
