Job summary

Volunteers of America - Dakotas is seeking an Assistant Site Coordinator for the Out of School Time program in Sioux Falls, SD. The role focuses on supervising elementary students, supporting daily schedules, and engaging learners through activities, games, and lessons.

You will assist the Site Coordinator, communicate with parents daily, and help with record-keeping, behavior support, and safety duties in a caring, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Two years of college coursework in education or a CDA credential.
• Two years of verifiable experience caring for and supervising four or more school-aged children.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to build relationships with staff, parents and the public.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe, clean, and inviting OOST environment per licensing standards.
• Supervise and engage elementary students with activities and lessons.
• Assist with daily/weekly schedules and check-in/out processes.
• Communicate with parents daily about progress and concerns.
• Support transportation and snack records as needed.
• Monitor staff levels and report issues to the OOST Operations Manager.
• Attend required trainings and meetings.
