Job summary

Default Brand in Sioux Falls is seeking an Assistant Youth Development Professional for our elementary out-of-school time programs. In this role you'll join a team to supervise, assist with homework, and create a safe, engaging environment for young students.

Must be at least 16 years old; if under 18, you will work under direct supervision. You’ll help with games, reading, art or science activities, snack service, and attendance tracking while upholding confidentiality and licensing

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• If under 18, must work under direct supervision of a Youth Development Professional or Site Coordinator.

Responsibilities

• Join the fun: actively engage with students by playing games and participating in activities.
• Be a helper: provide help with homework and educational activities.
• Be a good example: show kids how to be kind, respectful and helpful.
• Watch over kids: prioritize student safety and report safety concerns to Site Coordinator.
• Keep things tidy: clean and organize spaces to make sure they are safe and fun.
• Serve snacks: assist with preparing and serving snacks.
• Keep track of who’s here: help track attendance and participation as requested.
• Embrace diversity: appreciate and learn from people with different backgrounds and value diversity.
