Volunteers of America - Dakotas is seeking a part‑time Floating Site Coordinator for out‑of‑school time programs in Sioux Falls. You will provide short‑term coverage at multiple sites, ensuring safety, compliance, and quality of activities.

You will supervise students, support staff, and communicate with parents, while adapting to different program needs on short notice. This role emphasizes organization, adaptability, and a positive, problem‑solving mindset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in education or human development preferred.
• CDA credential or equivalent with caregiving experience preferred.
• Two years of college coursework in education or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Step in for Site Coordinator coverage with short notice and manage day‑to‑day site operations.
• Implement or facilitate pre‑prepared lessons and activities when plans are unavailable.
• Supervise students, ensure safety and engagement, and support staff.
• Communicate with parents and provide thorough handoffs to the permanent Site Coordinator.
• Maintain attendance records, enrollment changes, and snack/tracking documentation.
• Monitor staff, ensure proper staff‑to‑child ratios, and report staffing needs.
